I guess we can't leave Valdez without addressing the north-slope pipeline that ends at the terminal here in Valdez. Although we didn't see evidence of "the spill", we hear that clean-up is still going on in the coves where the tides don't reach as strongly. The oil tanker getting ready to leave right now has a double-hull and two completely independent engines, still... I know there are two sides to every story - I'll leave it at that.
